Frequently asked questions

  • What is Refacing?
Refacing is a method of kitchen remodeling that allows you to keep your existing cabinets, yet still achieve a custom, new kitchen look. It consists of fabricating and adding 1. New Doors 2. New Drawer Fronts 3. New Drawers (if needed) 4. New Cabinet Side Panels 5. New Solid Wood Face-Frames (the fronts of the cabinets) 6. New Crown Molding (the decorative molding at the top of the cabinets)
  • Can I keep my existing countertops?
Absolutely! All work can be performed around existing countertops.
  • How long does it take?
Once everything is finalized, the shop work of fabricating, staining and finishing takes approximately 21 to 30 days. Installation is generally one week.
  • Will my house look like a construction zone?
Absolutely not! RefacePlus is the absolute cleanest method of refacing kitchens. All sanding and finishing is performed in the shop before we get to your home, so it's virtually 'mess free'. All face-frames and side panels are precisely cut to your kitchen dimensions. We simply remove the existing face-frames, secure the 1/4" thick cabinets side panels, then add the new 3/4" thick Solid Wood face-frames. New doors and drawers are then added.
  • Can you reface vanities?
Yes. Vanities can be refaced, and most times made taller (if desired) to bring them up to a more usuable height.
  • We have pets, does that pose any problems?"
We love pets! We have pets (or, they have us). We will follow any and all instructions in keeping doors closed, letting them inside or outside...anything they need.
